Freeroll games allow players to enter a game without paying the entry fee that is normally required. Many transition from the freeroll games to a low stakes game where you can place bets as low as a penny or two at the paying table.

- You can’t see your opponents. Sitting down across from your opponents lets you see their faces and any expression changes or tics. Online you don’t have the benefits of facial expressions, but there are other ways to gain information about your opponents and how they operate.
